PRESS RELEASE – 4th February 2026
Record of success for the 2026 edition of our “VITA Bioethics Conference”
The 2026 edition of our “VITA Bioethics Conference“ (Université de la vie) has ended after three rich and profound sessions, each having attracted some 10,000 participants. This constitutes largest attendance, confirming its status as the prime bioethics training event in France.
For more than twenty years, “Université de la vie” has provided a unique set of themes, open to all, for a better understanding of the major human and societal stakes of our times.
This year, the series was devoted to the theme “The human body in all its states”, examined through three complementary sessions:
- Taking shape
- Living embodied
- Forming one body
Through a series of addresses and testimonies, the participants were invited to consider essential questions on various subjects such as addiction, organ donation, the view on death and ageing, fertility and life in utero.
The enthusiastic feedback from the participants clearly indicates the profound impact of the addresses and the interest stimulated by this unique form of instruction, combining expertise, testimonies, science and humanity.
Through its amplitude, the quality of the lectures and the depth of the exchanges solicited, Université de la vie 2026 has once more achieved its mission: by providing to all the keys for understanding and focusing and better apprehend the major bioethical and human stakes of our times.
