A tour to reaffirm the dignity of all human life and to strengthen solidarity
At a time when life rhythms are ever accelerating and when new fragilities are appearing, Alliance VITA is launching a tour in some ten cities throughout France between 22nd April and 26th June.
For what purpose? To provide a place for meeting and debating around one essential question: Is life still worth living?
This initiative aims to meet with citizens to exchange, inform them of the challenges facing human dignity and to reinforce social links, which are currently under threat.
The tour will also provide an opportunity to unfold Alliance VITA’s new logo. Designed to better represent the action of the association and to strengthen the collective aspect of its commitment, it symbolises support for every human life through listening, training and mobilising.
A response to a deep social upset
According to INSEE (2024), 33 % of French nationals declare that they feel lonely, compared with 27 % in 2018. Among them, 2.5 million of the aged experience regular solitude.
At the same time, the debates on bioethics issues and the end of life are severely questioning our vision of vulnerability, human dignity and solidarity.
In view of the above, Alliance VITA aims to promote its strong conviction:
"To say that life is worth living, is not to deny the existence of difficulties, but to assert that they can be overcome, accompanied and shared. In a society marked by isolation, we aim to focus on relationship and solidarity."
A tour for getting together, debating and mobilising
Through its tour, Alliance VITA will be offering:
- A major competition based around the question: “Is life still worth living?”
- Platforms for testimonies and for dialogue
- Local meetings with voluntary workers, partners and inhabitants
- Visual and immersive media for enhancing awareness in different ways
